Thank you for the interest in volunteering at the Chester Library.
Ways to volunteer:
Friends of the Library: The Friends of the Chester Library is a non-profit organization made up of volunteers dedicated to supporting and promoting the Library. They are always looking for talented volunteers to help us provide the library with an even greater level of support. Contact them at Friends@chesterlib.org to learn more.
Local History Department: The Local History Department has many opportunities for adult volunteers who wish to help on an ongoing and/or project basis. For more information, please contact the Local History Librarian at LocalHistory@chesterlib.org.
We have a volunteer program for middle and high school students during the summer. Volunteers help with our Summer Reading Program by assisting at special events, signing children up for the reading program, and running certain activities. We will have an information meeting at the end of May – stay tuned for more details!
We appreciate your patience as it may take up to 60 days after the submission of an application for you to be contacted.
You may also complete the form below, and we will contact you directly if there is a current need for your skills and talent.
