How to Get a Chester Library Card
Chester Library cards are available free to all residents or property owners in Chester Borough or Township. To get your card, you can register completely online by clicking here. Or, you can come into the library with a proof of residence or property ownership and fill out a registration card. Acceptable proof would be a driver’s license, utility bill, tax bill or similar with your Chester address on it.
People who work in Chester and do not live in another town served by a Main Library Alliance. library may be eligible for a free 1-year courtesy card with proof of employment at a Chester business such as a current pay stub, dated ID badge, or letter from employer. All K-8 teachers are also eligible for Chester courtesy cards, as are students who attend school but do not live in Chester.
If you do not live in Chester or in a town served by a Main Library Alliance library, you may also purchase a full services library card for $250 per year.
